This two-day course has been designed to give you the essential skills necessary to use Computed Aided Design software in your business. AutoCAD is the industry standard for Architects and is widely used in residential, industrial, commercial and retail design. Custom Installation businesses use CAD to overlay their own wiring schematics onto architect's drawings as well as producing bespoke cabinet, schematic or other designs relating to equipment housing or location. The course includes a trial (30 day) copy of AutoCAD2008, and is installed and configured on your machine. This will allow you to produce any number of scale drawings and print them off in colour on any printer you choose (Up to A0). We take you through the commands that you will use and produce drawings from scratch as well as using an Architects CAD drawing and producing your own Home A/V installation Plan. Having the ability to use CAD drawings from architects and adding your own wiring schematics to the plan is a great asset to your business. After attending Armour’s Essential CAD course you will be able to issue professional drawings to your clients, architects and electrical contractors and be able to charge for your time in producing these.
